How to drive the road roller?
How to drive the road roller is a problem that many novices have to face. Let’s talk about the specific precautions for driving the road roller.
The roller operator must do the following before starting the machine:
- Before starting the road roller, check around the machine and confirm whether there are people or obstacles around.
- Before starting the machine, check whether it is normal (fuel, hydraulic oil, coolant), and then ensure that the glass reflector of the cab is clean and bright to ensure that there is no obstacle during construction.
- Before starting the engine, the whistle must be sounded first, and once again ensure that there are no construction personnel or obstacles around the roller. After starting, check whether the instrument is normal and whether there is an alarm. Only when everything is normal it can start working. The above are compulsory courses before work every day, and must be carefully implemented!
Safety construction and precautions during construction:
- The rubber-tyred road roller works at a low speed. When working, pay attention to whether there are people or obstacles in the front, rear, left, and right sides. If something happens, whistle in advance or ask someone to clean it up and mark it before proceeding with the operation.
- Pay attention to maintaining the formation and spacing distance (3-5 meters front and rear, 0.5-1 meters left and right) when multiple road rollers work together, and drive at a low speed (0-7km/h) on slopes to prevent inertial landslides and rolling When rolling, it must be rolled in accordance with the rolling process specified by the construction personnel. During the rolling, there must be no pressure leakage, the rolling speed cannot be changed at will, and the machine must not be stopped at will.
- It is strictly forbidden to repair or refuel the road roller during operation. The driver is strictly forbidden to leave the machine when the road roller is running. It is strictly forbidden for anyone to get on and off the machine while driving.
Parking of rollers:
The road roller should be parked in a safe, flat, solid place that does not affect other vehicles and has no barriers to construction. And use triangular wooden blocks to block the front and rear wheels. Warning signs should be made when parking on the side of the road, and signal lights should be placed when parking at night to prevent other vehicles from colliding and causing unnecessary trouble!
Pay attention to the upper and lower pallet trucks of the roller:
When the roller gets on and off the truck, choose a place that is flat or helpful for getting on and off the truck. If necessary, clean up and bedding. Experienced personnel must be on hand to observe and direct to ensure safety.
Every road roller operator must establish the idea of safety first, keep it in mind, and use it in practice to avoid unnecessary injuries and losses to personnel and equipment, and strictly abide by it!
