Maintenance and Care Instructions for the RP905HEV Hybrid Large Asphalt Telescopic Paver
This article will introduce maintenance and care instructions for the RP905HEV hybrid large asphalt telescopic paver.
The XCMG RP905HEV is XCMG first hybrid large-scale high-end asphalt telescopic paver. This machine has a maximum paving width of 9 meters and a maximum paving thickness of 300 mm. It is equipped with a 150kW range extender and a 49.55kWh battery pack, and uses an electrically heated screed. It is specifically designed for high-grade highway asphalt surface construction, and is particularly adept at new construction and maintenance projects with varying road widths.
Daily Maintenance (Daily/Per Shift)
Power System Inspection
- Engine Oil: Check the oil level when the engine is cold and the machine is level. The oil level should be slightly above the middle of the dipstick mark.
- Fuel: Before daily operation, open the fuel filter drain valve to drain water until clean diesel fuel flows out.
- Battery and Electrical System: Check the area around the high-voltage battery compartment for debris and water accumulation. Ensure the high-voltage wiring harness connections are dry, secure, and undamaged.
Hydraulic and Cooling System
- Check the hydraulic oil level and coolant level to ensure they are within the specified range.
- Clean dust and asphalt lint from the hydraulic oil radiator and engine radiator to ensure effective heat dissipation.
Clean the working device
Thoroughly clean residual asphalt from the hopper, auger distributor, and screed to prevent hardening and affecting subsequent operations.
Check the screed heating element for proper function and for any abnormal noises from the vibrating mechanism.
Walking mechanism and tracks
Check track tension and adjust as needed.
Clean stones and debris from the gaps between the track plates.
Regular maintenance (by the hour):
Every 50 hours:
Add high-temperature lithium-based grease to all lubrication points, including the auger, sprockets, and bearings.
Check and tighten all connecting bolts, especially critical components such as the screed and distribution box.
Every 250 hours
Change the engine oil and oil filter.
Change the fuel filter.
Check and replenish the transfer case and gearbox gear oil levels.
Every 500 hours
Completely change the hydraulic oil, return oil filter, and pilot filter. Inspect the wear of the track link pins; replace them immediately if the clearance exceeds the standard.
Hybrid System Special Notes
Range Extender Maintenance
Range extender (engine) maintenance is the same as for a regular diesel engine, but only use genuine CJ-4 grade or higher engine oil.
Battery Protection:
Never directly wash the high-voltage battery compartment and motor controller with water; when storing for extended periods, maintain the battery charge at 50%-80%.
Safety Regulations
Before inspecting the high-voltage system, the main power supply must be turned off and allowed to discharge for at least 15 minutes; non-professionals are strictly prohibited from disassembling high-voltage components.
Operation and Storage Precautions
During Operation
Closely monitor the engine coolant temperature (80-95℃) and hydraulic oil temperature (50-80℃); immediately stop the machine and inspect if the temperature exceeds these limits.
After Shutdown
Let the machine idle for 3-5 minutes before shutting it off to allow the range extender to cool evenly.
Long-Term Storage
Empty the hopper and silo, apply anti-rust oil; store the entire machine in a dry, ventilated, and level place.
